About Gerry Forristal
I am originally from Waterford City on the south-east coast of Ireland, where I grew up near the famous Waterford Crystal factory with my family, who come from a predominantly engineering background.
Engineering, not quite doing it for me, pushed me out onto a different trajectory. I built a very successful career in the commercial arts sector for over fifteen years advising festivals on how to commercialise.
During the 1990’s I founded a number of successful companies related to the entertainment industry, the first of which was Yellow Velvet, a creative communications agency, producing brand and event launches for established companies including Coca Cola, Aer Lingus, Vodafone, O2, Irish Ferries, Diageo, Bulmers, Heineken, Budweiser and Lancome as well as a wide range of businesses across the SME sector.
A Move to Scotland
With many years experience in sales process design, creative events and marketing, I decided in 2004 to focus my interests to Scotland, where I had been many times as a visitor and made tremendous friends. I fell in love with Edinburgh City, its vibrancy and business optimism.
Sales Process Systems and Business Strategies
Over the last eight years I have been applying my extensive commercial experience working in a number of businesses, initially in the leisure industry, and now across the SME sector, introducing sales process systems, business processes, business strategies and optimising internal business operations.
